PAINTING

I need paintbrushes

Art paper

Colourful paint and drawing pencils

Water to clean the brushes

Little fingernails of paint on the palette

Mixing

Grubby

Tangled

And dirty

Titanium white

Yellow ochre

Ultramarine blue

I paint Starry Night

Swirling stars whirl-pooling and curling

I paint Moonlight On The Water

A moon round like the sun but bleached natural

Reflective water sparkling

When I paint I am in a relaxed mood

I feel tranquil and in repose

Van Gogh painted Sunflowers

Creamy golden flowers

With grassy raw leaves

A Frida Kahlo painting reminds me of Mother Nature

She wears delicate exquisite flowers in her hair

She is easily broken

I paint my self portrait

Me in the park on a zip wire

I paint my hair as yellow as corn

And my baby pink skin

My leather jacket pitch black

I am pleased with my painting

Gratified and appreciative
